Mukha Cafe

There is a cafe located at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail (TTDI) called Muhka where it's concept of it's shop is from a place of the same name in Yemen where traders from all over the places meet up and trades coffee in the 15th Century.

The foods available at the cafe does not have much of choices as the other cafes but the food there is nice and yet the price is reasonable. As for the drinks, i think some of it is slightly expensive.

For the foods, their concept is more towards the fusion concept where they served both Western and Asian food but different time frame of the day, they have different kind of food. In the morning, they only have English Breakfast style food and also salads. No rice or noodles is served in the morning. As for the lunch and diner time, they served the same types food where you can have rice, noodles and others.

Fat Boy's Burger Bar

Craving for burgers but not sure where to go?
Why not check out the Fat Boy's Burger Bar?
Those who like fast food especially burgers, this is a place you definitely want to try out!
Fat Boy's Burger Bar is known for their juicy burger patties, fresh ingredients, soft burger buns, awesome fries and so on. I'll leave the rest for you to check it out yourself! But the price would not go easy on you. If you are willing to pay for good quality food, then it would be fine for you.


The environment is really good. The interior design of the bar is modern and funky yet classy. And yes, they have wi-fi! The whole Publika does.



Now here comes the food. The food and the drinks are very pricey. I just ordered a rootbeer that costed us RM5 and it was not even a can's size. These normal drinks definitely do not worth it.



We have only ordered three burgers because we actually had lunch. We just wanted to try out the burgers.





These are the burgers we order. Thick burger buns, thick patties with cheese, onion and bacon. I took only a small bit and it tasted quite good. Note that this is a non-halal restaurant.

Xiao Bar Wang l 小霸王 @ 1 Utama

I think most of us heard of or know about "Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks" BUT I'm not gonna write about them. Today I'm gonna write about "Xiao Bar Wang" - Authentic Taiwanese Taste at 1 Utama. Their food cost a reasonable price which is total less than RM20 in personal bill. Normally when lunch hour, you'll see a lot of students and office workers at there and sometimes there are no empty tables and chairs. Sound great? Want to know more about it? YES, what you need to do is just roll down and see what me and my colleagues order from them.

As many you will think of why not I just choose back Shihlin due to it was more popular to public. But I'm gonna tell you "belum try belum tau, sudah try hari-hari mau" so why not try it first, just once if you don't like it. By the way, I think I need to say out loud that it was nonhalal means by they sell pork BUT for people who can't / doesn't like to eat pork, you can have their Bento Rice box ,which available in chicken / fish.

Anyway, in here you can get set dish in fresh taste. They come out with 5 type of set dish which have Mee Sua / Crispy Chicken / Bento Rice (available in pork, chicken and fish) / Pork Rice and Jumbo set. Oh ya, all the set dish come with a drink. You can either order flower tea / black sugar lime (which is recommend by me) and milk tea to choose.


In here, everything is self service. Furthermore, as above written, your order food can be served in spicy / less spicy / not spicy depend on yourself.

Let's Eat Food Court @ Publika

Most of the food courts we have been have a wide variety of food, from Malaysian cuisine to International cuisine. But the food there are common, we can see there everywhere. There is this special food court I've been to, it is definately one of a kind, but it is more like Chinese cuisine. It is called Let's Eat Food Court, located in a shopping center in Sri Hartamas. But note that this court court in non-halal.



My dad decided to order a few dishes and shared with us so that we could taste a bit of everything. But everyone had a type of noodle called pan mee as our main course, which is what I recommended the most to try it out.
This pan mee we had was so delicious. The texture of the noodle, the side dishes, we really had a good time eating it, especially my brother.

These are pan mee with chili flakes added it and later stirred. It seemed like nothing big to me, but when I ate it, it was so spicy and yet it tasted so good! I did not dare to put much as i heard it from my brother it would be very spicy. The chilli flakes definitely spiced up the pan mee.

This is another food my dad ordered, it is called yam rice, something we do not always get to taste. This yam rice is different to those i have eaten, i can taste the aroma of yam in the rice, yet it is not heavy at all, to compare with those i have normally eaten which are heavy and with a lot of sauce. This is definitely a must try for people who go for healthy light tasted food. The side dish is pork. I personally do not take much pork but i have tasted the sauce, it was pretty good. The sauce was well made. The side sides are braised pork with egg but some fried rolls with pork as fillings and soup.

This is another type of Chinese noodle, my youngest brother had it all as it is his favorite. It is called Wat Tan Hor. The noodle was kuey teow which is soft and flat, the sauce was sticky and we can clearly see beatened eggs in it, with vegetables, prawns, fishballs as the sides.  People who does not like sticky food better do not try it.

Another type of Chinese noodle, called "Fish Head Noodle". The type of noodle used is called Mee Hoon, it is very thin and the texture is different compared to pan mee and kuey teow. A well cooked fish head noodle supposed to have the right level of sourness and right amount of chinese liquor. But this one we had was just okay. To me the taste of chinese liquor was quite heavy, but it was not enough sour. It would be different to other though, some other people would prefer it light.

This is a Japanese Snack, called takoyaki. It is fried octopus balls with different spices and sauces, and there are different fillings can be chosen. They had cheese, unagi, octopus, baby octopus, chicken sausage, crabstick, squid and so on. The octopus balls are quite cute and look mouth-watering, young people would go for it. It tasted okay, but it was a little overpriced. Costs RM6.90 for four balls.





For others, the price are surprisingly affordable, or i would just say cheap. The price range from RM6.90 to RM8.80 for a fair portion. I expected the food in Publika to be pricey, even in the food court but it ended up another way round. But the things at the supermarket would make your jaw drop. Those are really expensive. This food court is a place worth trying out. The food is good, the environment is good, and they have free wifi! Well the whole Publika has 
wifi services. I would rate 7 out of 10.

Ipoh signnature restaurant, Thean Chun


  Ipoh is a beautiful city which is surrounded by mountains. It is well-known by the delicious and extraordinary food which are heritages by generation to generation. As a resident from Ipoh, I would like to recommend you some mouth-watering cuisines. One of the famous restaurants to have your breakfast is the Thean Chun restaurant which is located at the Ipoh Old Town.


  The environment of Thean Chun restaurant is crowded especially during the weekend. You can see foreigners come along and some customers with DSLR cameras busy grabbing pictures in this vintage charming restaurant.

  First of all, I ordered the classic food of Ipoh, ‘Kai Si Hor Fun’ (Ipoh Kuey Teow) which cost RM4. The kuey teow does incredibly produce a fantastic reaction with the shredded chickens and prawns. The smoothness of the kuey teow and a craving of fresh sweet soup are goodness that you cannot resist!


  After introducing the Ipoh classic food, here is the classic drink, Ipoh White Coffee. It is the famous signature in Ipoh. Not only the coffee is aromatic but the drink brings out a deep impression due to its very own recipe. You can taste the original Ipoh White Coffee by RM1.60.   


  Don’t you think that satay is food which is only available and suitable for dinner? It’s a big NO NO as eating satay of Thean Chun in the morning is a very wonderful thing. Chicken meat and pig intestine are MUST to visitors. By rm0.70 per stick, you can fulfill your desire of this satay match with the satay sauce.







  On top of that, the caramel custard is a dessert which you cannot miss. Mostly this sweet and smooth custard will be sold out during lunch hour. This very awesome dessert just costs RM2.30.


  Obviously, Ipoh food is very worthy for tourists who love to eat. They will never make you down. Come and admire this food paradise. You won’t regret to visit this fantasy.

Have you see a whole lamb roasted in front of your eye? Normally when people eat roast lamb, is more at upper class restaurant or hotel restaurant, and they just serve a slice of roast lamb in a plate. But if you wish to have a gathering or celebration which serve roasted lamb as one of your menu dish with your relatives, friends at home so that I suggest you Chef Wong's Roast Lamb. Chef Wong has been as a professional chef of roast lamb for more than 30 years. Before be as this job, he is a chef who works at 5 stars hotel at Kuala Lumpur. Can you imagine when he has more than 30 years experience in roasted lamb.

Almost every time when we have gathering at home, my parent sure will order roast lamb from Chef Wong. The price range of the lamb is depend on the size and weight etc. Oh ya, forget to mention that Chef Wong's roast lamb is lamb from Australia which will cost you a bit high. It cost RM1000+. As I mention before, the cost is depending on the weight and sizes of the lamb that you order. And Chef Wong will provide his secret recipe of dressing to mix and match with roasted lamb meat. Some more, Chef Wong will be at your home in early of the day cause he need to keep on watching the lamb and rotate the lamb with a metal stick so that the lamb is been roasted perfectly.
